If you are going out there to catch the big ones then you will need to have some heavy tackle to get them to the surface. If you are going to want your bait to get to the bottom fast then you will need heavy weights. you are not going to get the fish off the bottom of the ocean with small fishing rods so you will need a nice heavy duty fishing rod.
